Ecologist Brian Silliman’s research showing that snails are to blame for the decline of salt marshes along U.S. coastlines was the subject of a Dec. 17 story in National Geographic News. Silliman's research also was featured on National Public Radio's "All Things Considered" The stories were the result of a news release.
