Students show contemporary ceramics in Reitz gallery
March 31, 2006
“Menagerie: A Ceramics Show” opens April 3 in the “gallery” of the Reitz Student Union and continues through April 14. This show features contemporary ceramics from University of Florida students.
“As a group of advanced BFA candidates and post-baccalaureate students, we intend to show the quality and breadth of ceramic work being produced in these programs at UF,” artist Eva Champagne said. “We have an exciting variety of styles, from traditional, functional pottery to abstract and figurative sculpture and conceptual installation.”
An opening reception will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. April 7.
