HUD to turn over migrant housing prototype to UF officials

WHO:
Inez Banks-DuBose, the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development’s director of departmental operations and coordination, will turn over the newly built HUD Migrant Worker Prototype House to University of Florida officials at the Florida Ag Expo.
WHAT:
The model home will be used to showcase the best ways to provide good quality, cost-effective housing for migrant farm workers that can withstand Florida’s unpredictable weather. HUD paid for the two-bedroom house which took two years to develop and cost less than $100 per square foot to build.
