February 14, 2007
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — “Road Map to Graduate and Professional Schools,” a program geared toward ethnic minority students who are sophomores and juniors at the University of Florida, will be held from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. March 3 at UF’s Reitz Student Union Rion Ballroom.
The program kicks off with a motivational message about pursuing a graduate or professional degree. A comprehensive presentation of the many graduate possibilities at UF will follow, along with information on options for financing graduate school. In the afternoon, participating students can choose to visit one or two graduate or professional programs.
Students will tour facilities and be provided with an in-depth description of the admissions process for that particular college and program. At each college, the participants will also receive an action plan on how to prepare for that program as well as information on career opportunities. Participants will be divided among student recruiters so that they can be mentored by graduate students.
