UF to present contract opportunities to small businesses

WHO: Representatives from various UF departments and academic units including the construction division and the University Athletic Association, city and county government officials, school board officials and local small business leaders.
WHAT: The University of Florida’s 16th Annual Small Business Conference and Trade Fair will provide an opportunity for local small business leaders to meet university and government officials and learn about upcoming business and contract opportunities. UF construction representatives will be on hand to talk about the many construction projects that will be taking place on campus, some of which have been specifically designed to permit bidding by smaller companies.
WHEN: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 28. A construction networking forum designed to introduce local contractors to developers will follow at 5 p.m.
WHERE: Hilton University of Florida Conference Center, 1714 S.W. 34th St., Gainesville.
