Gator fans invited to welcome home men's basketball team, coaches

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The University of Florida is inviting Gator fans to the Gainesville Regional Airport to welcome home head coach Billy Donovan and the men’s basketball team upon their return from Atlanta on Tuesday afternoon.

Police officials will not allow non-ticketed persons into the Gainesville Regional Airport area before 11:30 a.m. After 11:30 a.m., fans will be directed to a parking area within the airport confines. Fans should enter the Gainesville Regional Airport off of the 39th Avenue main entrance and will make the first right once inside the facility grounds.

Fans are requested to stay clear of the terminal to allow ticketed passengers to proceed in a timely fashion. The team will NOT be entering the terminal at any time.

The charter flight carrying the Gator coaches and team is expected to arrive at 1 p.m.

Fans are encouraged to bring appropriate hydration beverages.
