May 2, 2007
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — University of Florida faculty and staff may want to take advantage of enrolling their children in a technology-rich summer camp opportunity offered by the Educational Technology program in the College of Education’s School of Teaching and Learning.
The Digital Kids Tech Camp is a weeklong technology-intensive experience for rising third- through sixth-graders to explore the design and creation of animations, podcasts and computer games.
The camp runs from 8 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday and is offered for three consecutive weeks:
June 4-8, June 11-15 and June 18-22. Each week, campers can choose their area of focus. Each week costs $150, and a $50 deposit is due by May 15 to reserve a spot. To ensure that campers receive optimal support, space is limited.
Camps are held in the educational technology computer labs in UF’s Norman Hall. For more information or to register, contact Jeff Boyer at jboyer@ufl.edu or 352-392-9191, ext. 295.
