August 14, 2007
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The University of Florida joins 24 other schools around the country as one of Kaplan/Newsweek’s Hottest Schools in America.
The 2008 Kaplan/Newsweek “How to Get into College” Guide listed UF as the nation’s “Hottest for Sports Fans,” a nod to the Gators’ two NCAA men’s basketball title and a national football championship during the past two years.
“The 25 Hottest Schools in America,” found in the guide, features schools that offer top academic programs but also are generating extra buzz this year, whether due to recent events, trend-setting initiatives or other reasons. The 264-page guide goes on sale Aug. 20 and will be available in bookstores and can also be ordered on Kaplan’s Web site, http://www.kaptest.com/store, or by calling toll-free 1-800-KAP-ITEM.
