Dean earns national award

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Christopher Silver, dean of the College of Design, Construction and Planning, was recently awarded the Laurence C. Gerckens Prize at the biennial Society for American City and Regional Planning History conference in Portland, Maine. The prize is awarded once every two years to a scholar-teacher who has demonstrated sustained excellence in the teaching of planning history.
