GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Peter Rudnytsky, professor of English, will be inducted as a new honorary member of the American Psychoanalytic Association at the organization’s annual meeting later this month in New York.
Rudnytsky is recognized by the association for his commitment to the advancement of psychoanalysis. In a press release, the association said, “The renown of his scholarship is best reflected in his being named editor-in-chief of the esteemed journal “American Imago.” Founded in 1939 by Sigmund Freud and Hans Sachs, “American Imago” has had only four previous editors in its legacy.
