Harn Museum Nights resuming Jan. 10
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Visitors can discover the Harn Museum after dark during Museum Nights 5-9 p.m. select Thursdays, resuming Jan. 10 for the spring semester.
Visitors on Jan. 10 can explore the exhibition “The Ceramics of Toshiko Takaezu: Function, Form and Surface” before it closes Jan. 20. The exhibition features 15 recent gifts from the celebrated artist. Other exhibitions on view include “Vision/Revision: Contemporary Art from the Harn Collection,” “Highlights from the Photography Collection,” “Highlights from the Modern Collection,” “Highlights from the Asian Collection” and “Highlights from the African Collection.”
Students with a Gator1 card receive 20 percent off purchases in the Museum Store. The Camellia Court Café is also open until 9 p.m. for Museum Nights.
Museum Nights is sponsored by University of Florida Student Government, which has allotted more than $50,000 in FY 2007-08 to increasing student awareness and appreciation of the arts and natural sciences through the program.
