UF students to tear down symbolic wall on Friday

Who: University of Florida students will bring down a concrete block wall as a culminating activity during the MLK2010: Leave Your Mark celebration.
What: The Writing on the Wall Project will end with students collectively pulling down a 40-by-9 foot concrete block wall. The wall was constructed of blocks on which UF students painted words representing the oppression of others.
When: 1:15 p.m. Friday.
Where: Plaza of the Americas on the UF campus near Library West, Peabody Hall and University Auditorium.
