GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The 1982 play-within-a-play comedy by English playwright Michael Frayn “Noises Off” captures the behind-the-scenes antics during the fictional production of “Nothing On.” During the three acts, the audience gets a feel for backstage life – including the hilarious love triangles between castmates, and the stage manager’s desperate attempts to keep the show running smoothly – and also gets an up-close look at how the personal problems of the actors hinder the success of the show. This entertaining look at all of the elements that contribute to the making of a show depicts every factor that could go amusingly awry. Directed by Mikell Pinkney.

“Noises Off” will be performed at 7:30 p.m., June 4, 5; at 7:30 p.m., July 16, 22 and 24; and at 2 p.m., June 6 and July 18 at the Constans Theatre. Tickets are $13 for students, $17 for general admission, and are available at the University Box Office, 352-392-1653 or Ticketmaster.com.
