UF Alumni Association to host UF experts on oil in the Gulf

WHO: University of Florida alumni, students, staff, parents, friends and public
WHAT: This lecture is hosted and sponsored by the University of Florida Alumni Association to raise awareness of the research UF is conducting in relation to the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill in the Gulf of Mexico. The UF Alumni Association frequently sponsors faculty to make presentations in local communities to educate alumni and raise awareness of the current research and findings being made at Florida’s top research University. This event will feature four faculty members from various units on campus.
The faculty and their area of expertise are:
- Peter Sheng, coastal engineering
- Tom Frazer, ecology of marine systems
- Stephen Holland, ecotourism
- Thomas Ruppert, coastal planning specialist, Florida Sea Grant College Program
