Media Advisory: 20th anniversary of student murders recognized

WHAT: The University of Florida community will recognize the 20th anniversary of the Gainesville student murders. The carillon bells of Century Tower will toll five times and white ribbons will be tied on trees; a short moment of silence will follow.

WHEN: Noon, Thursday, Aug. 26.

WHERE: Five trees are planted on the northwest side of Smathers Library East, just behind a low rise brick wall. There is a plaque marking the dedication.
