GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Five Gainesville professional arts organizations are joining together to offer Gainesville Entertainment Sampler, a collaborative subscription package that samples highlights from the region’s best entertainment options.
For $89, subscribers will receive six vouchers redeemable for each of the following:
- Dance Alive National Ballet
- Hippodrome Theatre
- Hippodrome Cinema
- University of Florida School of Music (College of Fine Arts)
- University of Florida School of Theatre and Dance (College of Fine Arts)
- University of Florida Performing Arts
UF College of Fine Arts spokesman Andy Howard believes the program will be attractive to new Gainesville arts patrons as well as students.
“Working collaboratively allows us to reach out to the broader community and invite them to explore the fantastic, high-quality arts our city offers to residents and visitors,” Howard said. “There is a vibrant arts community here worth celebrating. We want to share this message with everyone who hasn’t experienced these opportunities.”
With the support of the Alachua County Convention and Visitors Bureau, a brochure and website have been created and will promote the package while also distinguishing the region as creative and culture-rich. Visitors to www.gainesvillearts.com can see more than 45 events offered through the collaborating organizations.
The Gainesville Entertainment Sampler can be purchased by visiting or calling the Hippodrome Theatre box office at 352-375-4477.
