UF Small Animal Hospital grand opening celebration

WHAT: The University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine will hold a media sneak preview, as well as several other events, to showcase its new UF Small Animal Hospital. Members of the media are welcome to attend any events of interest.

WHEN: Friday, Oct. 22
* Press preview for media only from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Dean Glen Hoffsis and key administrators will be available for interviews and will help lead members of the media through the building on a private tour. Note, there will be no animals in the building, as it is not yet open for business. If B-roll of animals is required, it must be coordinated in a separate time window. Please e-mail or call for more information.

* Official Grand Opening dedication/donor recognition event. Members of the media are also welcome to cover this invitation-only event from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 24
* Public preview of new building for the Gainesville-area community from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

WHERE: All events will take place at UF’s Small Animal Hospital, located at 2015 SW 16th Ave., Gainesville, Fla. Watch for signs.
