Co-founder of Apple Computer Inc. to speak Monday at UF

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Stephen Wozniak, one of the co-founders of Apple Computer Inc., will speak at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the O’Connell Center. The free event is open to the public with first-come first-serve seating. Doors will open at 7 p.m.
Wozniak is best known for co-founding Apple Computer Inc. with Steve Jobs and Ronald Wayne. In 1975, he began creating his first computer based on his own self-teaching. In 1976, Wozniak and Jobs formed Apple Computer, with their first product being the Apple 1. Today, Wozniak still remains an employee and a shareholder of the company.
Wozniak will be speaking about his insight into the world of technology. He will share his drive to create a computer without ever being taught and despite fear of failure. Wozniak’s story is one of knowledge, inspiration, and pure technical genius.
ACCENT Speakers Bureau, the largest student-run speakers bureau in the nation, has been bringing prominent speakers to the University of Florida since 1967. ACCENT strives to bring controversial and influential speakers to the university, with the intent of further educating the student body.
