Major announcement scheduled Monday regarding Innovation Square

WHO: University of Florida President Bernie Machen, UF Senior Vice President for Administration and Business Ventures Brian Beach, community leaders.

WHEN: 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29

WHERE: Emerson Alumni Hall, President’s Room

WHAT: Machen has invited local governmental officials and other business and community leaders to a luncheon, where he will present plans for Innovation Square, the site of the Florida Innovation Hub on Southwest Second Avenue in Gainesville. The presentation will include architectural renderings and a fly-through video of Innovation Square, as well as projections for square footage, acreage and types of businesses that are expected to locate at Innovation Square.

ALSO: Machen will be available after the luncheon to answer questions from the news media.
