SIFE to bring local entrepreneurs to UF
November 17, 2010
GAINESVILLE, Fla.— For the past five semesters, the University of Florida chapter of the Students in Free Enterprise has been hosting forums that focused on different topics in the business world. This week’s forum has a twist.
On Thursday, SIFE will host the Fall Entrepreneurship Forum, which will not focus on a topic in business but will survey entrepreneurs with business vs. non-business backgrounds.
Local entrepreneurs will participate in an open-panel discussion to share their experiences with students from all majors.
“The point is to prove to students that they do not necessarily have to come from a strong business background to become a successful entrepreneur,” said Kyle Futch, student coordinator of the event.
“It’s a great opportunity,” he said. “In the past these panels have inspired students to pursue their own entrepreneurial ventures.”
The forum will be held from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. in Little Hall, Room 113. For questions or to RSVP, contact Kyle Futch at sife.entrepreneurship@gmail.com.
UF Students in Free Enterprise is an international organization that empowers university students to make a difference in their communities with their knowledge of business practices. The UF chapter is sponsored by the Warrington College of Business Administration.
