GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Common Reading Program at the University of Florida will unveil the 2012- 2013 selection at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Plaza of the Americas.
Entering its sixth year at UF, the Common Reading Program was established to provide all 6,400 first-year students with a common experience to enhance the sense of community among students, faculty, and staff members by reading the same book. The program seeks to raise awareness of a relevant global issue, stimulate dialogue among the campus community and introduce students to the high academic and intellectual expectations of UF. This year’s selection was “Outcasts United” by Warren St. John.
