Noel Paul Stookey to perform at University Auditorium
February 10, 2012
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Noel Paul Stookey will perform at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 17 at University Auditorium on the University of Florida campus. Stookey has twice taken the stage at the Phillips Center for Performing Arts as a member of Peter, Paul and Mary in 1997 and 2002.
Stookey has been altering the musical and ethical landscape of this country and the world for decades – both as the “Paul” of the legendary Peter, Paul and Mary and as an independent musician who passionately believes in bringing the spiritual into the practice of daily life. Funny, irreverently reverent, thoughtful, compassionate, passionate — Stookey’s vocal sound is known all across this land: from the “Wedding Song” to “In These Times.”
A limited number of VIP Access tickets will be available through the Phillips Center Box Office for a post-performance photo/autograph “meet and greet” with Stookey, held in the Friends of Music Room at University Auditorium.
Tickets are on sale and available for this performance. Call 352-392-ARTS (2787) or 800-905-ARTS (toll free within Florida), or visit www.performingarts.ufl.edu for more information.
