Sheriff Sadie Darnell to recognize caregivers, responders to January I-75 tragedy

What: To honor the contributions of the many UF&Shands people who provided support during the I-75 tragedy in January, Alachua County Sheriff Sadie Darnell will recognize emergency responders, caregivers, social workers and staff from Shands at UF, the William R. Maples Center for Forensic Medicine and the UF Office of the Medical Examiner, District 8, at a ceremony. In addition to Darnell, speakers include Timothy Goldfarb, Shands chief executive officer; and Bruce Goldberger, professor and director of toxicology in the department of pathology, immunology and laboratory medicine with the UF College of Medicine and the William R. Maples Center for Forensic Medicine.
