UF staffers to ease transition of new students to campus

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Staffers from the University of Florida divisions of Business Affairs, Student Affairs and Human Resources as well as student leaders will greet new students and parents and distribute water during residence hall check-in Friday and during the first two days of classes Aug. 22-23.
During Welcome Week and the first two days of class, UF staff campuswide will actively seek out new students and provide extra assistance to make the first days on campus a less confusing and more pleasant experience for all new Gators.
The 12th annual Ask Me Campaign is part of the ONE TEAM initiative – a project bringing together staff from across campus in joint outreach efforts to provide focused and engaged customer service to all students.
