UFPD investigates armed disturbance at Shands garage

The University of Florida Police Department is investigating an armed disturbance on Thursday at the Shands/UF East Visitor/Patient Garage.
Shortly before 2 p.m. the University of Florida Police Department responded to an armed disturbance call at Garage 10.
Upon arrival officers met with a witness who advised that three people were involved in a verbal dispute on the second level of Garage 10. During the dispute, one of the subjects displayed a handgun.
The three individuals involved were described as two black males and a white female. Officers detained and interviewed the unarmed male involved in the disturbance. The other two individuals left the campus area in an unknown direction of travel.
The armed subject was described as a black male wearing a white t-shirt. There was no descriptive information on the female subject involved. The witness could provide no additional information regarding the case.
