UF receives substantial contribution for medical school

WHAT:
University of Florida officials will announce a significant gift from a member of the UF Board of Trustees. This lead gift is part of a $45 million building project to construct the George T. Harrell, M.D., Medical Education Building. The 94,000-square-foot building will be located next to the Health Professions/Nursing/Pharmacy Complex on Newell Drive.

• Bernie Machen, University of Florida president
• David S. Guzick, M.D., Ph.D., UF senior vice president for health affairs and president of
  the UF&Shands Health System
• Michael Good, M.D., dean of the UF College of Medicine
• Special guests

WHEN:
2:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5.

WHERE:
The UF Health Science Center campus, across from the McKnight Brain Institute, 1149 Newell Drive, Gainesville. Valet parking for media provided at the Brain Institute.
