RTS revises services during holiday period

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Regional Transit System has revised service on some routes between now and Jan. 2.
RTS will provide reduced service on City Fixed Routes 1, 9, 10, 12, 13, 16, 17, 20, 23, 34, 35, 36 and 43. An “R” on RTS Route Schedules indicates buses that run whenever RTS reduces service on a route. There will be no service on City Fixed Routes 21, 22, 27, 28, 29, 38, 39, 46, 62 and 76. There are no changes in service on remaining City Fixed Routes 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, 15, 24, 25 and 75, which will follow their normal fall 2012 schedules.
There will not be any Campus or Later Gator service, however paratransit service will run as usual. Reduced fall service will continue through Dec. 30. The spring RTS schedule will begin Dec. 31.
Dec. 24
RTS will be running its normal Sunday service this day. Only Routes 1, 5, 8, 9, 11, 13, 15, 16, 20, 27 and 35 will be running. Paratransit Service will run as usual on a Sunday:10 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be no campus or Later Gator service.
Dec. 25
There will be no bus or paratransit service in observation of Christmas.
Dec. 31
RTS begins running its spring 2013 schedule with reduced service. Paratransit service will run as normal.
Jan. 1
There will be no bus or paratransit service in observation of New Year’s Day.
Normal service will resume on Jan. 2.
