Emergency exercise postponed

In light of Monday’s bombing at the Boston Marathon — and in consideration of the victims, their family members and the continuing developments surrounding this act of terrorism — the University of Florida will postpone the communitywide emergency exercise that had been scheduled for Thursday morning.

Exercises like this help maintain and improve operations and coordination among first-responder agencies during emergency situations. The exercise will be rescheduled.
