Ceremony to mark construction of new business college building

WHAT: The Warrington College of Business Administration will hold a beam-signing ceremony to celebrate the progress of Heavener Hall, which is under construction.
WHO: Among those scheduled to attend are UF President J. Bernard Machen, Warrington Dean John Kraft and James W. “Bill” Heavener, namesake of the Heavener School of Business and Heavener Hall.
WHEN: 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 20.
WHERE: Program begins in Bryan Hall, Room 130. Beam signing will follow at Heavener Hall construction site, which is adjacent to Bryan Hall.

BACKGROUND: Heavener Hall is envisioned as a 50,000-plus-square-foot building that will house all of the activities related to undergraduate business education at UF. Heavener Hall is scheduled to be completed in spring 2015.
