Speaker to examine market-based approaches to sustainable energy

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Roger Noll, co-director of the Center for Regulatory Policy and professor emeritus of economics at Stanford University, will speak on “The Future of Climate Change” at 6 p.m. Feb. 19 in Pugh Hall.
Noll has served on the advisory boards of the U.S. Department of Energy, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and National Renewable Energy Laboratory.
His talk will examine the current and future consequences of global climate change and market-based approaches to creating sustainable energy policy. Noll will briefly summarize the evidence on the forecasts in order to give context to the policy design problem. The event and parking are free and open to the public.
