U.S. Congressman visits UF College of Pharmacy and speaks to students

WHAT: University of Florida student pharmacists have invited U.S. Rep. Gus Bilirakis of the 12th Congressional District to the College of Pharmacy for an educational exchange. Student leaders in the American Pharmacists Association Academy of Student Pharmacists will learn more about the legislative process and offer the congressman a look at the broad scope of pharmacy practice.
Following a welcome meeting with the college administration, the congressman will meet with Medication Therapy Management faculty, and UF Health Shands Hospital Pharmacy directors. Bilirakis will close the afternoon visit with a presentation to more than 100 student pharmacists on the importance of advocacy.
