GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Here are the releases the University of Florida’s media relations office expects to send next week, subject to change:
Monday, May 5
SENT TUESDAY: ETHANOL FROM EUCALYPTUS (postponed from last week) — UF/IFAS researchers working to produce ethanol from plants are taking a hard look at eucalyptus as a possible feedstock. They switched focus from sugarcane to eucalyptus, a fast-growing hardwood, because it’s easier to store and transport and more tolerant of cold weather.

SENT TUESDAY: MEMORY TRAINING (tentative) – A new UF study shows that older adults who read a text and then described what they had read to someone else remembered details of the text better than older adults who simply re-read the passage multiple times.
