November 26, 2012
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Meredith Morris-Babb, director, and Amy Gorelick, editor-in-chief, of the University Press of Florida will present “Scholarly Publishing in the Digital Age” at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Smathers Library East, Room 1A.
Gorelick will discuss the basics of getting published: submitting a proposal, the review and production processes, marketing and selling works of nonfiction and things to avoid when working with a publisher.
Morris-Babb will present new developments in digital publishing. She will discuss how university presses are adapting to the shifting demand for fewer print-edition publications.
