Women highlighted at UF Engineering Leadership Summit
January 13, 2015
WHAT: The Engineering Leadership Institute at the University of Florida will host its biennial Gator Engineering Leadership Summit at the Reitz Student Union. This year’s theme is “Powered to Lead,” and will include discussions on women in leadership and their unique role in creating a rich culture of diversity and inclusion that ultimately enhances innovation.
The University of Florida is uniquely positioned as a major growth center for innovation and a driver for the state of Florida and U.S. economies. The lack of women in leadership in technology-related fields – and in public policy positions related to technology – has become a critical issue. This forum will inspire women not only at UF, but nationally, to consider the impact they can have on the future of innovation in the U.S. and beyond.
